A virus cluster from a party on the Sunshine Coast has prompted the Premier to warn that large gatherings are no longer acceptable, as the state shuts its borders

Queensland health authorities on Wednesday confirmed 46 new cases of COVID-19, taking the state’s cumulative total to 443.

"I think this is a really clear example of why we can no longer have parties, the time for parties is over," Ms Palaszczuk said. “We wouldn’t necessarily describe that as a cluster, but it is important to get that information out in terms of cases where we have been unable to confirm where they have been contracted,” Mr Miles said.

"The in-community spread has thus far been very, very low, lower than we expected, and there is nowhere in Queensland where we have uncontained community transmission," he said. “At the time of the party, first of all there were no restrictions for mandatory two weeks of isolation for certain travellers coming back from overseas,” he said.It comes as Queensland enacts the next phase of its virus lockdown on Wednesday night, sealing off its borders.

I may be dense but can someone please explain how hair cuts are essential but why many mental health services have closed?! I don't get it.
