Children have “enough on their plate” without having to worry about the imminent demise of the world, according to child psychologist Clare Rowe. KennyReport

Children have “enough on their plate” without having to worry about the imminent demise of the world, according to child psychologist Clare Rowe. Prime Minister Scott Morrison has warned against causing children “needless anxiety” about the issue of climate change.

The comments come as Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg has warned her generation will face "catastrophic" consequences unless radical action is taken to combat climate change. Ms Rowe told Sky News children don’t have the developmental capacity to deal with “doom and gloom” rhetoric being disseminated by some climate activists. She said parents “should provide perspective” and discuss climate change around the dinner table in order to allay their child's concerns.

Parents could begin by confirming that the IPCC approved climate scientists disavow any suggestion that the science points to any sort of catastrophic future. Numerous “establishment” climate scientists have stated this in recent weeks.

What perspective should parents present? Should we lie?

The other girl in the video who is used as an example is also an actress I believe. Can anyone confirm that? Interesting coincidence if it is true, because it implies that it is a manufactured panic & therefore the psychological abuse of children is a deliberate ploy, but by who?

She's a right-wing idiot, probably a climate-change denying 'jesus'-believing fool trying to mislead the future generations with this unscientific, sheltered, head-in-the-sand, SELFISH right-wing rhetoric.

I know. Who cares. We should only care about ourselves, the individual. Have a go, get a go. Ayn Rand is a legend. So is Margaret Thatcher. There's no such thing as society. Just me, my McMansion, negatively-geared portfolio & franking credits payed for by someone else. All MINE.

Yes dumping this on children and expecting them to solve the demise of the world is a bit unfair.

It’s the Nanny State, parents don’t have any ownership of their children.

Like an insecure job market and unaffordable housing..

As a parent, something Greta is not, how can she fathom how hard we parents work and do to try a make a better future for our kids. She ever paid a bill? Cared for her own sick child? How about gone without to pay for school fees? She ever taught manners or the value of respect?

New angle to yell 'shut up kids' If they were marching for corporate tax cuts, Kenny and co wouldn't mutter a whimper.

Coalition reveals plan to decongest cities | Sky News AustraliaPopulation Minister Alan Tudge has revealed Australia’s new strategy to tackle capital city congestion by pushing skilled migrants to regional centres.\n\nInspired by Canada’s migration model, the move would help with the distribution of population growth.\n\nThe Morrison Government has already dropped the annual migration cap to 160,000, with 23,000 places falling under regional skilled visas which will require applicants to live in non-capital cities for three years. \n\n“I think we’ll be overwhelmed by people applying this,” Mr Tudge said.\n\n“The evidence does show once you've been there for a few years, you put your roots down and that’s what we’re expecting here.” Good luck with all that. They have destroyed our cities through mass immigration, don't let them now destroy our iconic regional centres. It's all a con to turn our right wing regional centres into left wing socialist voting hell holes. Who have no water!
