The English forward was put on report in the 15th minute after Tamou made an official complaint to referee Henry Perenara. Thompson is now looking at a ban that is likely to carry over to next season.Advertisement

Head coach Ivan Cleary spoke about the incident post-match but wasn't sure if a suspension would be handed to Thompson. Interim coach Steve Georgallis was adamant there was nothing in it and "didn't think" it would result in any games missed.
