Palestinian motion on sanctioning Israel's football association deferred as FIFA seeks legal advice at 2024 Congress

Palestine 's football association is seeking to have its Israel i counterpart removed from F IFA as punishment for its actions in the war against Hamas.F IFA will convene and extraordinary council meeting before July 25 to review the advice and make any decisions.

"The numerous committees to address these issues have either failed to provided effective resolutions or have not reported back to the congress that mandated them," he said. It has been reported Australia will abstain if the motion is eventually brought to the whole 211-nation congress for vote.In response to Rajoub, the head of the IFA, Shino Moshe Zuares, said he would not take part in a competition of "whose suffering is greater"."It is injustice that even in these circumstances we have to fight for our basic right to be part of the game," he said.
