Queensland Opposition leader Deb Frecklington is calling for “a bit of common sense” from Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk when she makes her decision on borders today. Ms Frecklington told Sky News “the Premier doesn’t seem to grasp the economic impact her dithering is making”. “Quite frankly, when you’re looking at 1,000 jobs a week lost, $200 million in economic activity lost every week in this state, we need clear concise messaging,” she said.

While the surge in numbers in Victoria is crucial lets not ignore NSW practice of dropping their active case numbers based on time since first recorded We are the slowest opening state with no community infections. Pretty sure our last community infection was the Victorian strawberry picker ages ago. Open Cooktown to all Queenslanders. There is no isolation when crossing into Queensland anyway, may as well open the borders.
