Iconic ‘90s pop band Aqua left fans wanting after their show in Melbourne Wednesday night, with concert goers claiming their vocals weren’t as polished as usual.

, the Danish-Norwegian group were seen opening their final Australian show at Margaret Court Arena with their 2000 hit“This is painful,” user @xoxomissflo wrote on the clip as singer Lene Nystrom started the song.“The opening really showed what we were in for tonight … it was not the vibe,” the person added.

“Saw them at a 90s thing a few years ago, they came out after Vengaboys and we left after 2 songs. Not a good vibe at all,” they wrote. However, there was also support for Aqua in the comment section, with one fan saying their Sydney show was “epic”, while another added they saw the group in 2014 and it was “amazing”.

“I knew they were off to a bad start when the screen behind them said ‘Hello Adelaide’,” Mix94.5 producer Shelby Brady said onThe concert later took a turn for the worse when Nystrom disappeared from the stage for an hour, with her fellow band members soon joining her backstage, before she returned visibly upset and donning her pyjamas.“They come back on at 10pm. The lead female singer was wearing pleather before, she’s dressed out of that and she’s now in her actual pyjamas,” Brady continued.
