UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has described as 'utterly inadequate' the world's efforts to stop climate change.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has described as "utterly inadequate" the world's efforts to stop climate change, saying there is a danger global warming could pass the "point of no return."

"The point of no return is no longer over the horizon," Guterres told reporters in the Spanish capital. "It is in sight and hurtling toward us.

Countries agreed in Paris four years ago to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, ideally 1.5C by the end of the century compared with pre-industrial times. Already, average temperatures have increased by about 1C, leaving little room for the more ambitious target to be met.Guterres said growing demands from citizens, particularly young people, have shown there is widespread desire for climate action.

"But we also see clearly that the world's largest emitters are not pulling their weight – and without them, our goal is unreachable," he said.

Kid Rock escorted off stage after disgusting rant about OprahKid Rock was escorted off stage in Nashville last week after launching an explosive rant against Oprah Winfrey. His music is ok. As a person, though, he's not ok. When a Kid is mean to a girl, it means that he likes her. Or a hamberder by the looks of things. Why are all of FatNixon's friends so wildly out of shape?

Heavy weather: How can we end division over climate protests? In the 1960s, diverse tribes put aside political and social differences for a successful environmental campaign. That experience could teach us. If the deniers weren’t such frightened chicken shits we might be able to get something done. The indoctrination of the gullible masses. If they sit and protest fine....if they disrupt traffic and transport or assault people by pushing them and spitting on them...then arrest them for assault!
