Victoria’s top public servant has told the inquiry into Melbourne’s botched hotel system while he remembers the offer of ADF assistance in the program, he cannot remember if he passed it on.

Department of Premier and Cabinet Secretary Chris Eccles fronted the inquiry on Monday, revealing he too could not remember whose decision it was to use private security guards to secure quarantine hotels.

Southbank Capital Chairman Francis Galbally, on Monday night, told Sky News host Peter Credlin both Premier Daniel Andrews and Mr Eccles should lose their jobs over the incident, particularly as Mr Eccles could not recall referring the offer of federal assistance to anyone. “That to me is a disgrace, that man, for a start, should be made to resign, Dan Andrews should sack him and Dan Andrews should resign,” Mr Galbally said.

Polygraph...!! Is honesty in the oath the weak cowards dribble

Welcome to Victoria where left hand doesn’t know what right hand does, as a result of this debacle we’re now 22hr draconian melbournelockdown with No end! DanielAndrews

Sack him.

And we are supposed to have faith that our government has our best interests at heart - no private sector business would get away with this - DanielAndrewsMP must be charged with workplace manslaughter DanMustGo

All should resign.

DICTATOR DAN ANDREWS’S RESIGNATION is the best time to save human life & Victoria. It’s also a quick way get out his dangerous 1 belt 1 road initiative (BRInvasion) designated by Communist🇨🇳(CCP), agreed & signed by him & his regime being under controlled by CCP inmyview

C ya! Incompetent the lot of them!

This person and all others who had leading roles in the hotel fiasco should be sacked. If the hotel quarantine plan had been a success, they would be crowing about it; because it was a complete failure they all claim selective memory loss. They are either incompetent or lying.

Wouldn’t it nice to have a government job...

But couldn't exactly the same thing have happened with the ADF? Registration officer contracts it and passes it on to co-workers? Why do we assume the ADF would have fixed everything?

No memory ? Not fit for office. ( it's selective memory illness effecting politicians )

This stooge earns a very large salary and he cannot remember? May i suggest that he has a very long hard look and tell the truth. Because a Royal Commission might help his memory loss. With criminal penalties.

Who believes sky news where truth dies

All of them have to go. If this is how incompetent they all are by their own admission about something as disastrous as HQ they must GO. These CANNOT be the people we trust from now on. DanMustGo DictatorDan

Victoria’s new ‘Stalinist’ legislation goes against all civil liberties | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Rowan Dean says the Victorian government’s new “Stalinist” bill will give the same people who ruined hotel quarantine sweeping and unprecedented policing powers.\n\nThe Andrews government is expected to introduce the COVID-19 Omnibus Measures Amendment Bill which endows particular public servants with the powers of an ‘authorised officer’ to enforce public health interventions.\n\nThe bill – which will last until April 2021 – gives officers the power to detain people whom they perceive to be a high risk person (either with COVID-19 or a close contact) and who refuses to comply with health directives.\n\nMr Dean said the “mind boggles” at these new sweeping authoritarian powers, especially given that the bill entitles the same public servants who failed with hotel quarantine “the powers to run around arresting people”.\n\n“This is what happens when you have Lefty lunatics running your government and riddled throughout your bureaucracy; this is what you get, disaster after disaster”.\n\nSky News host James Morrow said it was by no means an exaggeration to label the new bill as an “absolutely Stalinist piece of legislation”.\n\n“It’s shocking that in the wokest, most Left leaning state in Australia, you would have this sort of legislation which goes against all civil liberties, against all due process,” he said.\n rowandean Bill has to be passed by the parliament before it becomes a law. That's how things work in democracy, if not happy move Skynews staff to China. rowandean RowanDean is so extremist he obviously doesn’t care how many Victorians die! SkyNewsAust continues to push it’s hard-right Murdoch propaganda .. with its looney propagandist mouthpieces. Meanwhile DanielAndrews stays focused on saving lives. Either the incompetence was so bad, or 'backsides are being covered': Murray | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says it became absolutely clear at the inquiry into hotel quarantine last week that “no one was in charge”.\n\nMr Murray said 'one of the counsels assisting the inquiry made it very clear, last week it became absolutely clear, that no one was in charge.”\n\n“Either the incompetence was so bad that no one could be held responsible, or everyone is covering their backside,” he said. \n\n“Either way, accountability must be there.\n\n“While I understand the human shields that will be there for Chairman Dan on twitter, but the reality is millions of people are locked in their house, given false hope that things are going to get better, but by his own roadmap, even if you hit the average, nothing really changes again, for another month.”\n Oh, just like LiberalAus Truly unbelievable!!!! Systemic discouragement of Hydroxychloroquine is a ‘national scandal’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Rowan Dean says Australian governments are “directly responsible for the deaths of Australians” whose lives could have been saved, but weren't, because governments and bureaucrats discouraged the use of Hydroxychloroquine.\n\nHydroxychloroquine has been touted by many as a potential treatment to COVID-19, however acting Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly declared to the Australian people it was not effective.\n\n“The jury is now in, not out, and there is an abundance of evidence that suggests that HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) and zinc taken early on in the correct combinations definitely saves lives,” Mr Dean said.\n\nHe said there have been countless studies from across the globe which indicate the potential success of HCQ, and also the impotence of lockdowns.\n\n“Hydroxychloroquine saves lives. Italian lives, Saudi lives, Swiss lives, Filipino lives, American lives. So why not Australian lives, Mr Kelly?,” he said.\n\n“I'll tell you why. Because all these clowns, these bureaucrats and politicians, are taking their advice from the Therapeutic Goods Administration, who in turn are taking their advice from some mob called the COVID-19 Taskforce, who have taken all their advice from the Recovery studies in Britain.\n\n“Which have been repeatedly questioned and even debunked.\n\n“By discouraging the use of hydroxychloroquine, by banning the drug in Victoria and criminalising its use in Queensland, Australian governments and their bureaucrats are directly responsible for the deaths of Australians.\n\n“This is a national scandal and in time will be acknowledged as such.”\n\n rowandean rowandean What level of misinformation and downright lies are you prepared to host ? Your partisan mouthpieces spew falsehoods and sections of the population believe it. Or is this your intention? rowandean Wait till Rowan hears about cigarettes....

Andrews’ new ‘private militia’ is the next step in ‘Labor’s Orwellian nightmare’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Rowan Dean says Daniel Andrews’ attempts to create his own “private militia of Leftist public servants” will turn the state into “1984 on steroids”.\n\nIt comes as the Andrews is expected to introduce sweeping new powers for public servants giving them the authority of authorised officers with the ability to indefinitely detain Victorians.\n\nThe bill – which will last until April 2021 – gives officers the power to detain people whom they perceive to be a high-risk person (either with COVID-19 or a close contact) and who refuses to comply with health directives.\n\nMr Dean pointed to yet another example of police overreach and excessive use of force in Melbourne as an example of the increasing influence of police in Victoria.\n\n“Welcome to Labor’s Orwellian nightmare,” he said.\n rowandean DanielAndrewsMP 😡 these commies will have their day! They probably don't even know who they working for and working like sheep 🐑 rowandean DanielAndrewsMP Good on Rowan Dean for passionately condemning Orwellian tyranny.
