Some in that room are already wary at what they see as a heavy-handed approach from the Prime Minister's office to keeping the backbench off the airwaves.One senator said the euphoria of the May win was quickly wearing off and the government needed a bigger agenda to keep restless backbenchers occupied.

Queensland senator Amanda Stoker had been in Parliament just six months before putting her name to a list demanding Turnbull resign but says the group's actions now “speak for themselves".
