No Sydney Trains or NSW TrainLink Intercity and Regional services will operate for several hours on Tuesday as union members take industrial action.

The Rail, Tram and Bus Union said Tuesday's industrial action"is a culmination of a month of actions members have been forced to take in response to an attack on safety and conditions".

The union and state government are also at loggerheads over staffing on the new NSW TrainLink Intercity fleet. "Our frontline staff have done an amazing job during this COVID period to keep services operating safely and we are very disappointed the union has taken this action because we know that essential workers rely on rail services to get to work every day," he said.

"There'll be extra buses out there, there'll be ferries, there'll be light rail," Transport for NSW Chief Operations Officer Howard Collins said. "I would advise people, if you can, please avoid using public transport. For the majority of the day you'll see some disruption as the RBTU takes out their four hours of industrial action."Tuesday's industrial action follows on from Saturday's"go slow" with trains operating at a reduced speed, a ban on overtime work last Wednesday and a work-to-rule last Thursday.

NSW records 961 new cases of COVID-19 and nine deathsNSW records 961 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths as Premier Gladys Berejiklian outlines more details on when unvaccinated people may participate in greater activity. There have been quite a few cases of deaths at home after the first dose who were reportedly 'unaware of positive infection' but tested positive after death. Curious, is it not? NothingToSeeHere causality Unvaccinated people cannot expect to mix with vaccinated people as long as no immunity solution has been found. It is a very good way to get them to vaccinate by excluding them from many activities they previously enjoyed. People are on the beaches, many unvaccinated, so what is the point of all these rulls and guidelines when eastern sydney doesn’t respect them at all?
