Australians should be deeply worried about 'one of the most concerning things' seen in the first 100 days of the Albanese government, Shadow Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Michaelia Cash says.

Australians should be deeply worried about “one of the most concerning things” seen in the first 100 days of the Albanese government, Shadow Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Michaelia Cash says.

Industrial Relations Minister Tony Burke wrote to the Fair Work Commission President saying the Commission should not terminate enterprise bargaining agreements at the request of employers. On Thursday NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet revealed he was prepared to rip up the current enterprise agreement and applied expectantly to the Fair Work Commission to stop industrial action.

“Very, very concerning – and I think the fact that the relevant union has come out totally emboldened by this and in particular following the jobs summit, clearly yet again just shows Australians this summit was nothing more than a talkfest,” she said.

Coalition won’t support ‘a union induction at the border’ for migrant workersShadow Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Michaelia Cash says she won't support migrant workers getting a 'union induction' at the Australian border. Australia has lifted the permanent migration cap intake to almost 200,000 this financial year to address the nation's critical jobs and skills shortages. 'What we have at the moment is an announcement that has been welcomed,' Ms Cash told Sky News Australia. Ms Cash said she will not support union demands for an 'induction at the border'. 'I don't support these people being given a union induction at the border and potentially union membership.' Not surprising the coalition doesn’t want workers to have representation Nobody needs her support for anything. The coalition, in opposition, can please themselves. The grown ups have control of parliament now. AusPol

Albanese ‘paying his paymaster in full’Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has made it clear he puts the interests of the union movement above the interests of the Australian people, Shadow Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Michaelia Cash says. The Albanese government has pledged to overhaul industrial relations laws during the jobs summit, which includes changing the controversial better-off-overall-test and allowing multi-employer wage deals. Ms Cash said the outcome only benefitted the unions. 'This is why the outcome of the summit is a total, complete and utter win for the union movement in Australia – this is what they've been asking for now for years and years,' Ms Cash told Sky News Australia. 'Even the former Rudd and Gillard governments refused to deliver on this, but Mr Albanese is paying his paymaster in full but at the expense of the Australian people, the Australian economy – at the expense of productivity.' The unions ARE the Australian people What you mean is AlboMP is putting the interests of workers ahead of bosses Debts and favours called in and he’s too weak to argue. I used too be a small businessman. Glad I’m not in 2022. Albo has no idea and doesn’t care. Prick

Govt have made ‘a great start’ to increasing pensioner workforceAustralian Retailers Association's Fleur Brown says one of the primary initiatives the ARA put to the Albanese government in the Jobs Summit was increased participation of mature-aged workers, which the government has committed to. “It’s not quite at the level we looked for, but it’s certainly is a step forward, they’ve increased the earning threshold for pensioners before they are penalised by tax,” Ms Brown told Sky News Australia. “So, they have gone from about $300 a week to earning $453. 'We were looking for something like $600 but still, it’s a great start and it will certainly help”.
