Nurses and midwives have been warned against posting on the adults-only content platform OnlyFans by the industry’s professional complaints body.
“Recently, attention has been drawn to the council of inappropriate use of online media content services such as OnlyFans,” the Nursing and Midwifery Council of NSW said in a statement to the“The role of the council is to protect public safety,” it said.
Michael Whaites, assistant general secretary of NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association, said workers should familiarise themselves with their professional code of conduct, but they shouldn’t be stopped from participating in particular social media platforms or earning a second source of income. “The HCCC has received complaints relating to health practitioners’ use of OnlyFans,” a spokesperson confirmed.
