‘Save taxpayers money’: Liberal Democrat MP backs pill testingVictorian Liberal Democrat MP David Limbrick has backed the Queensland government’s decision to introduce pill testing sites, claiming that testing drugs does not condone the use of them. Mr Limbrick said he is supportive of any way to minimise the harm of drugs. “I actually think it will save taxpayers money,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi. “Just think about the cost in one single case of acquired brain injury from drug overdose … depending on the severity it could be a lifetime of care and a lifetime of welfare for the unfortunate person that was injured. “So I don’t think this is going to be a big expense either.” Spoiler alert: Pills tested & deemed 'safe' have killed hundreds of young people at music festivals. Absolutely it does. NSW Premier proposes stamp duty expansionIn one of the most significant announcements of the election campaign, the NSW government will make a $200 million expansion to its stamp duty reforms. NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet is viewing his housing reforms as transformational but also as his ticket back into government at the March state election. “I don’t want anyone to give up on reaching the great Australian dream and buying their first home,” Mr Perrottet said. First-home buyers can choose between paying upfront stamp duty or a forever annual property payment of $400 plus 0.3 per cent of the value of the land. All political parties do is lie and promise leading up to an election, then flip flop and not deliver after. Why does anyone bother voting? Making the rich richer.
