NSW Disability Minister Gareth Ward had to be escorted home by police twice after he was found sleepwalking the streets following surgery.

Mr Ward, who had been in hospital twice this week and had to undergo surgery, was found by police in Sydney on two occasions on Wednesday night.Brook Mitchell

In a statement, Mr Ward, 38, said: "On Tuesday I was admitted to hospital for the second time in a week, and as a result, yesterday I was placed under general anaesthetic for a procedure. "Last night I became disorientated while at home. I would like to thank emergency services for returning me to my residence safely."More to come
