Labor suspended NSW MP Shaoquett Moselmane on Friday as federal agents raided his home and parliamentary office for evidence of links to a Chinese government interference plot in one of the most significant ASIO investigations in recent history.
"I, in the last hour, have asked the general secretary of the party to begin the process of suspending his membership of the Labor Party. It's the right thing to do," Ms McKay said on Friday morning."He will no longer sit in the caucus. He will no longer be a Labor Party member. His membership is being suspended as we speak.
By noon, Mr Moselmane had arrived at his parliamentary office with his lawyer. It was a hive of activity, federal agents hovered around the office's entrance accompanied by NSW Police officers.
