Part-time staffer John Zhang lodges High Court challenge after his office and home were raided alongside NSW Labor backbencher Shaoquett Moselmane's as part of an investigation into allegations of Chinese interference.

A staffer of NSW Labor backbencher Shaoquett Moselmane has lodged a High Court challenge to an investigation into Chinese interference.

Mr Zhang is challenging the legality of search warrants used to raid his Macquarie Street office and his Chipping Norton home on June 25 and for another raid on his office on July 23. Mr Zhang argues that the warrants did not comply with the Crimes Act and that they "impermissibly burden the implied freedom of communication on governmental and political matters contrary to the Commonwealth Constitution".

A raid on Zhang will not reveal his links with the CCP - tapping his phone and email would have revealed more

So after more than one month of going through what's taken from that raid, Federal police hasn't found anything concrete to lay charges or justify their actions. Do I understand that correctly?

His CCP handlers will not be happy.

Is sniff a dutton.

Why is Moselmane so quiet? Why has ABC not followed this up for a month? Why is Labor not asking hard questions and so willing to dump one of their own? How deep is the Think Tank behind this with Defence Contractors?
