NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns says the government “bowed to the inevitable” on improving the safety conditions of trains as rail workers continue to strike.

Mr Minns said the government has shown some “good will” and there has been “progress” in reaching an agreement with the rail union.

“My sense is the government bowed in relation to the safety concern because they were very concerned there would be a major safety incident on the rail network,” he told Sky News Australia.
