NSW train drivers are pushing ahead with industrial action after the government"backtracked" on a $264 million offer to address safety issues.
The Rail, Tram and Bus Union has been locked in long-running stoush with the Perrottet government over a new Korean-made Intercity fleet, which it says is unsafe. Rail, Tram and Bus Union NSW Secretary Alex Claassens said that during a meeting with the government on Thursday, elements of the modification offer had been taken off the table.
"It's going to be a very messy day," Mr Claassens said. "It'll be a weekend timetable with other trains taken out of it."
What made anyone think this union or the actual train drivers themselves are decent enough people to cancel their strike just because they got what they were asking for. These people aren't decent. These people take delight in striking against defenceless people like us.
Spot the ALP states.
Of course the rail union did. They're just hell bent on striking and making the public their outright enemy. I literally HATE the rail union and everyone in it. They're attacking ME!!! They don't have the brains to negotiate properly. They don't WANT to negotiate at all.
Pay train drivers less as no trains after dark soon due to energy crisis ?
Never believe verbal unless it’s in writing , railway union 100% right , DON’T trust verbal with polices
SBS We're seeing lots of stories about this issue, but none of them list the actual safety concerns the union has with the trains. Could you start including this detail in your stories, please?
mmm... so the Lib NSW govt backtracks on a deal? that's nothing new surely... deals and machinations behind the scenes and voila another new deal will be made to everyone's detriment... that's how Perrottet and his puppeteers work isn't it...
