The ADF has been called on to help with the NSW COVID outbreak after the state had its worst day since the outbreak began, with 239 new local cases recorded on Thursday.

There have been 300 ADF personnel assigned to enforce compliance in the state, and in addition, thousands more police officers will be deployed to eight high-risk local government areas.

On-the-spot fines for breaching mask mandates have risen to $500 and police have been granted powers to close businesses if they flout restrictions. Stricter rules have come into force for the eight LGA’s of concern, including residents having to wear masks any time when outside.

Who are we gonna shoot? 😁

Jack boots on the ground.

Lunacy! What a waste of valuable resources. When were the ADF called on in past years for influenza outbreaks which have been far worse than the amount of COVID deaths? Alarmism created by mainstream media and politicians driven by misinformed public.

NSW Government resorting to threatening their own people and bringing in the army to use as a weapon against their own citizens they are cooked next election. Lost trust!
