NSW Treasurer Matt Kean is calling on the Albanese government to let tens of thousands of foreign workers into Australia. The “worker drought” will leave the state 304,000 employees short by 2025-26 and could cost the national economy $80 billion, according to Mr Kean.

As long as they don’t have criminal records and show they can bring proper skill, fine.
Why does the media never mention the costs of Immigration? He mentions a loss of $80billion of income if we get less migrants, but it will probably save us over $100billion in expenditure.Time for some opposing views to be heard to this mass migration madness infecting the media.
And where will you house these people Matt_KeanMP ? What jobs are they to fill? Jobs that current potential employers won’t pay a fair wage for? Casual dead end low paid jobs? Typical neo liberal trickle down economic solutions from a tired and corrupt LiberalNSW nswpol
Cheapening Wage costs for businesses that have never learned to manage without someone else giving them low cost labor. Modernise. Efficiencies. Nah, let’s get guest workers.
Until we have much stronger protections against migrant worker exploitation & a pathway for these workers to a skilled job & permanent residency, this proposal would be a disaster.
Import voters.
Matt_KeanMP And where are they going to live or is the rental/housing shortage in NSW is based on imagination and not reality? Everybody wants cheap exploitable skilled labour that excludes Aussies from job training.
As long as these immigrants bring their own house with them, shouldn’t be a problem! If they could also bring about 10 kilometres of 4 lane freeway to help our clogged freeway system, that would be dandy!
And live were? There is already a rental crisis. $$$
Cheap labour on its way?
Has Matt_KeanMP done an environmental study on the drain on resources ?
Of course he is
