The NSW government has gone big for the 2021 budget — spending billions after better-than-expected economic growth on the back of the pandemic. Here's where the money is going and what it means for you.

Sydney's sizzling property market over the past year has resulted in an extra billion dollars spent in stamp duty revenue than anticipated.

"The worst thing about stamp duty is that it stops many young families from getting into the property market," he said.

NSW authorities 'casting the net wide' to deal with Bondi cluster | Sky News AustraliaNSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says authorities are “casting the net very wide” when tracing contacts connected to the Bondi cluster.\n\nShe said a woman in her 20s who is a worker in Bondi Junction is thought to have been exposed to the virus 'probably through fleeting contact with one of the infectious people as they moved around Bondi Junction'. \n\nDr Chant said those who visited close contact venues will be notified about self-isolating and casual contacts should check advice specific to them. \n\nIn addition, she said she is asking all other people who were in Bondi Junction between 12 June and 18 June to minimise their contact with others until they receive a negative test. \n\n“This is because we are casting the net very wide because we want to pick up any of these inadvertent transmissions.”\n
