The Open entry criteria are quite separate (which was silly) Could risk his entire career by getting the jab side effects. Stop side stepping natural immunity too. He was no health risk. Djokovic was granted a Visa on 18 November, and knew he needed a medical exemption to be able to travel into Australia on that visa. The only exemption he thought he could get was “recent Covid”. So, he got Covid - exactly 4 weeks later on 16 December. Was that planned?
