The Northern Territory government is to impose stricter border controls later this week, forcing all arrivals into supervised quarantine

The Northern Territory is beefing-up its border controls, ordering all arrivals from interstate or overseas into 14-days of forced and supervised quarantine in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

"When all of this is over please come to the Territory, it's the greatest place on earth, but not right now." The government will establish a Worker and Wellbeing Fund focusing on residents who have lost their jobs, are facing reduced income, or who are otherwise affected within their workplace due to COVID-19.

Coronavirus circulating in the US in January, Australian travel ban too lateAustralia should have put a travel ban on the United States and forced return travellers into hotel quarantines in February, medical and economic experts say. ErykBagshaw All measures introduced by our govt have been too late. ErykBagshaw Yep....but let’s all blame the Chinese students 😉 ErykBagshaw Experts suggest we should’ve used hotel rooms for quarantine earlier, can the experts explain how this was feasible? Sydney only has 25000 hotel rooms, many of which were occupied in February. This is nonsense revisionism.

Forced 14-day hotel quarantines begin for all Australian airport arrivalsThousands of people flying into Australia are now being shuttled to hotel quarantine facilities across the country. 9News A very good idea, well done. Strong leadership. Are they going to tell us which hotels these people will be staying at? I wouldn't be surprised if any of these people start complaining that they are in 'prison' like environments when they are most likely going to be in 5 star hotels. Why the f*** are thousands flying into Australia if we have closed our borders Are they citizens? Surely not tourists?

You can't be trusted on your own. This bellend is concerned about a bus trip but still chose to put his elderly dad on an airplane? Yeah, sure thing buddy. Rules are rules set by government to protect people. I’m sure he got good service at the hotel ( room service, food, tv and medical if needed ).

'It's stopping us from doing our jobs': Wrongly implemented quarantine preventing medical staff treating patients, doctor saysA doctor says he and several of his colleagues have been forced into a 14-day coronavirus quarantine a day earlier than required, preventing them from treating patients. Everybody who comes off a cruise ship should be in self isolation. Except me. Trust me I'm a doctor. Well if you had to be tested in the first place it wouldn't hurt just in case, just so the people in charge don't end up with egg on their face..... Another first rate goose
