The government is set to unveil a new agricultural workers code in two weeks to resolve transport issues between states as coronavirus-induced borders remain in place.

The Prime Minister announced the code would be similar to the freight code introduced a fortnight ago and “deals with the practical issues of how those in the agricultural workforce are managing their activities across these brooders where they are in place”. Scott Morrison said the Queensland government decided to ease restrictions for those people coming out of hotspots who need to access health care. The state will also expand border zones in additional postcodes.

He said the move was “evidence of the working relationship that is there to deal with the practical issues on the ground of borders being put in place”. The Prime Minister said another key focus of the national cabinet was seeking clarification on the definition of a coronavirus hotspot. “There needs to be a clear medical and scientific definition of what that is,” he said.

About bloody time! Trucks and freight can just move across but our farmers have to jump through bureaucratic BS hoops to access their farms. The politicians and public servant numbskulls that cause this belong under the lid of a compost bin.

When the government realises that their communist laws may not fit the country, well we can just bend this one

PM to call for consistant border plan at National Cabinet today | Sky News AustraliaA border battle is continuing to bubble between the states as the Prime Minister seeks to create a more nationally consistent border plan at today's National Cabinet meeting.\n\nScott Morrison largely allowed states to determine what their border strategies would be as they worked to contain the spread of coronavirus, but frustration has grown among residents and businesses eager to begin moving interstate. \n\nQantas CEO Alan Joyce yesterday claimed border closures were politically motivated and called for greater clarity around intrastate and interstate travel to ensure the economy, namely in the tourism and aviation sector, could recover.\n\nNSW and Qld established a bubble for border town residents that required free movement for work and family reasons but many farming families have found it difficult to gain exemptions to access property outside the bubble.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia A tear of his leadership? No he has no responsibility Again your tweeter can't spell. It is 'consistent' not 'consistant'. Did none of you finish high school? And we like the border closed in Qld, thanks. Not opening up just so qantas et al can make money. Border battle beat up from economists. This is a Health issue where the economy just has to be second for now.

ScottMorrisonMP It's illegal, people have the right to refuse medical treatment. I know right wingers want us all to be puppets of the regime, 'for our own good' but forced medical care is illegal for people capable of decision making. In mental health and Aged care it may be different ScottMorrisonMP We're already on to his plan. He won't say it's mandatory, but he'll attempt to restrict us with regards, to work, travel, buying/selling etc etc just know we won't accept that. There are far far more of us than you guys. Ok.
