The exercise, which kicked off yesterday, aims to determine what would happen if an asteroid did hit the Earth and how anyone who survived would react to the possible apocalypse.
NASA and other agencies are conducting doomsday exercises this week to determine how we will react to a meteorite hitting the planet. Using the above information, teams will be tasked with developing survival plans which include trying to knock it off course, new lines of research and best preparation for post-impact.
