MPs and their staff have been “frequently targeted by protest activity″⁣ and security incidents have grown significantly, a report tabled to Parliament says. auspol

Victorian politicians have been increasingly targeted with threats and vandalism during the pandemic, with 50 per cent more security incidents at electoral offices compared with the previous year.

Animal Justice Party MP Andy Meddick said all of his staff have had to call on the parliamentary counselling service at some point during the pandemic because abusive emails and phone calls had been “such a terrible strain”.“It’s not just the volume of abuse,” he said. “Quite often it’s not the volume, it’s what’s actually being said.”He said the threat of violence against him, his staff and family, as well as the volume of calls, had escalated “quite dramatically” during the pandemic.

His parliamentary office was receiving a phone call about every 1 minute and 40 seconds, although Mr Meddick’s electorate office is currently closed.

There is a 3-pronged attack going on: 'independent' media (Rukshan, Avi); and incitement from opinionists in the MSM (Mitchell, Tardio, Elliott, Panahi, Legrand, Bolt, etc too many to list!); and far right idiots at protests like this:

Perhaps they should listen to protests instead of demeaning protestors, or the government is forcing people to escalate.

It's an attack on democracy. Jail for these offenders.

Pathways to Parliament: The education and careers of Australia’s MPsThe average federal MP is a man born in 1969 who graduated from a private school and attained an arts degree. But this is not the full story. Literally all did useless degrees lmao 'There is a preponderance of arts and law degrees and a shortage of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics degrees.' This is abundantly clear in the way covid has been handled. If more could read scientific papers & understand statistics, we would be in a better place Such a difference between AlboMP and ScottMorrisonMP .. scomo is an old boy who is a product of the cream of public school students and albo represents the elite from the private and religious schools.. hence scomo represents smartness and positivity whereas albo is a unionist

Alarmist or accurate? How the Burnet’s COVID-19 modelling stacks upThere has been widespread criticism of the modelling Australia has relied on during this pandemic. But has the flak been justified? | Liam Mannix | ANALYSIS covid19 BurnetInstitute lockdown A simple examination of the trajectory of Delta outbreaks in almost any other country (India & Thailand are two good examples) would have shown a peak around 9 weeks from when infections first started to double quickly, with new cases falling away quickly. Simple answers are best liammannix Models only as good as data inputs. Media loves 'clickbait'. I have told you before, 'context' is important - underlying health conditions, genetics, blood groups, micronutrient deficiencies. Why do some people (even young) get so sick while others don't? No answers! Depends how you count “COVID cases”. What PCR test cycles are you using? Are you counting all cases including ones that have absolutely no symptoms yet people have reported anyway? These may in fact be false positives. Positive result in a high-cycle PCR test does not mean cases.
