Prime Minister Scott Morrison has backed the Liberal Party's calls to investigate the funding structures of a number of high-profile independents, including Julia Banks, Zali Steggall and Kerryn Phelps.
It comes amid allegations Malcolm Turnbull's son has been helping to organise donations for Ms Banks' election campaign to remove Health Minister Greg Hunt from the Victorian seat of Flinders. Mr Morrison argues the issue of 'Indepdenents Inc' remains a question which the independent candidates need to address.
