Peter Dutton and the Liberal Party ‘can’t afford’ to oppose the VoiceSky News host Chris Kenny says in his view, Opposition leader Peter Dutton and the Liberal Party can’t afford to oppose the Voice. Mr Kenny’s remarks come after a Newspoll revealed that a majority of Australians support an Indigenous Voice to Parliament. The poll conducted for The Australian shows 56 per cent of those surveyed were in favour of changing the constitution while 37 per cent were against the proposal, which Mr Kenny said showed there’s plenty of “public goodwill”. “The sobering thing for Peter Dutton and the Liberals is that if they were to oppose it, and it got up, they’d be instantly finished,” he said. “This debate is a long way from over, for the Liberals and for the nation.” Oh yes they can and hopefully will. The constitution is a rule book for governing. It serves all Australians equally. Singling out any group, no matter how well meaning, is repugnant. We have the same voice to parliament… one vote, one value. With the details hidden until after the vote, you’d be nuts to vote yes.

Penny Wong overruled department by sending observer to anti-nuclear treaty meetingExclusive: FOI documents reveal officials were nervous that going to Vienna gathering would be a sign of Australia wanted to join the treaty The Soviet Cold War zombies in the Labor party have always been in favour of unilateral disarmament so that we will be helpless when their comrades invade. Good to get clear insights on the role of undemocratically appointed advisers in our democracy. We need an institute with an objective of peace to actively balance these warmongers. Moody sod.

Comments on millennials’ spending habits were ‘insensitive’Women’s Forum Australia's Rachael Wong says Kerrie Boylett’s comments on millennials' spending habits could have been “misplaced or insensitive”. This comes as Kerrie Boylett made comments saying millennials want the latest phone, iPad, and cars, instead of saving to help with living costs. “I think also given where Australians are at in terms of the post-COVID pandemic, the way that property prices have risen significantly since the nineties, the foreign investment that’s over here that’s also affected that, I think maybe the comments could have been a bit misplaced or insensitive,” Ms Wong told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
