More than 90 per cent of Victoria's COVID-19 cases have been linked back to a family of four at Melbourne's Rydges hotel. 9News

Five days later genomic testing confirmed they were all linked.

Asked if the first workers infected were hotel staff or contracted security guards, Dr Alpren said: "My understanding is they were a mixture". Questions: Which country did they arrive from? Where were they for the 6 days before being moved to Rydges? And what exactly does ‘environmental contamination’ mean?

I hope they've been told just how much heartbreak and suffering they have caused, and I hope they aren't some of the people continuing to flout the rules.
