More than 500 NSW schools to begin HSC trials on campus | JordsBaker

More than 500 NSW schools will begin their HSC trials on August 18, two days after year 12 students will be allowed to return to campus.

Many in education are surprised at the government’s change of heart, as year 12 students were told by many schools only last week that they were not even allowed on campus to work on their major works in isolation. The decision came amid mounting pressure from some quarters to cancel the formal HSC exams to give students certainty.

“Feedback from schools also stressed the benefits for students with regard to all students having a valid and rigorous school based HSC assessment task to rely on and safeguard against any future HSC disruptions.” Tim Bowden, principal of Trinity Grammar, said trial exams had two key benefits. “It gives the students the chance to rehearse the exam situation,” he said.

Year 12 students in Sydney LGA ‘red zones’ to be given Pfizer vaccineNSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced plans to vaccinate students 16-18 years of age with Pfizer in eight LGAs added to NSW's red zone list. Because they are dropping like flies? LOL Or because you need the commonwealth jab payments Glady? Will she be offering it the students, or giving it to them? It would be a lot safer to give them Treatment from FLCCC that works and gives them protection straight away. Than something with unknown long term problems, I’m not anti vacation but these are kids for gods sake
