Groups of pregnant “migrant” women will end up being “racially profiled” if abortion decriminalisation legislation before NSW parliament is amended to include a ban on sex-selective terminations, Greens MP ShoebridgeMLC warns. KennyReport

Groups of pregnant “migrant” women will end up being “racially profiled” if abortion decriminalisation legislation before NSW parliament is amended to include a ban on sex-selective terminations, Greens MP David Shoebridge warns.

He told Sky News there is “no evidence” sex-selective abortions are happening in Australia and outlawing such choices would only result in “women from south Asia and north Asia, in particular, being racially profiled”. Mr Shoebridge referred to “pretty comprehensive advice from pretty much every expert in the field” to back up his claim. He hopes the NSW Coalition will not adopt the amendment to the legislation.

ShoebridgeMLC Pffff

'He told Sky News there is “no evidence” sex-selective abortions are happening in Australia' I'd like to know where he gets his information from. I personally know a woman who has done this-twice.

ShoebridgeMLC I would be more worried about what the greens would do if they ever got power. Have seen mr Shoebridge in action several times and am not impressed. Oh btw thanks for scare mongering and bringing race into the debate.

ShoebridgeMLC No to gender discrimination.

ShoebridgeMLC Take a good hard look daily at this absolute Twit(ter) account daily to make sure you know how dangerous a vote can be and how removed from the real Australia the socialist leftards are!! shame noidea

'NSW Liberal overwhelmingly unites behind Berejiklian’ | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales Attorney General Mark Speakman says NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has “the overwhelming support of party members because she led us to victory and is a premier that is working extremely hard”. \n\nThe premier spent Monday night locked in crisis talks after Tanya Davies, Matthew Mason-Cox and Lou Amato pledged to “hold her to account” over the controversial abortion bill. \n\nThe contentious abortion bill, which was put forward by Independent MP Alex Greenwich, passed the lower house 59 to 31 in a conscience vote with the support of Labor and the Nationals.\n\nMr Speakman told Sky News on Tuesday 'it’s up to the upper house, individual MPs to decide how to vote on this bill, it is not a government bill, it is beyond the power of the premier to direct MPs how to vote, if that is what these three MPs want then they are misguided'. \n\n“The vast majority of Liberal MPs realise the electors don’t want a circus and don’t want to see a repetition of what happened in Canberra,' he said. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia She is doing a good job.
