Plenty of stock, but truck curfews hinder shops from replenishing shelvesDistribution centres have 'bucket-loads of stock' but curfews on trucks are stopping it from getting onto shop shelves, the Retailers Association says coronavirus But the trucks can still get to the stores as per normal times. Isn't the issue more to do with stores ordering enough supplies to cover the panic bought goods? Surely local curfews preventing large trucks from delivering stock to supermarkets should be relaxed until panic buying subsides. This situation illustrates the need for a national emergency policy to override short sighted local policies. I call BS. There is no reason why deliveries can’t be made during normal business hours.
