A prominent Australian beauty and makeup company has urgently recalled one of its products over fears it could cause “serious injury”. MCoBeauty has issued a recall for all of its Lip Lights Lip Gloss products, warning they do not meet the mandatory safety and information standards for products containing button and coin batteries. The products contain an LED light in the lid, as well as a built-in mirror.
Batch numbers can be found on the bottom of purchased products, available in clear, morocco, striptease, berry pink and marshmallow shades. Customers who purchased products with the A23A07 batch number are told to “stop using immediately”, as button batteries were “not adequately secured” and are accessible to young children. The lip gloss should be kept away from children and customers should get in contact with staff at MCoBeauty to arrange a replacement product to be sent out.
