'We’ve taken a massive step forward.' 9WWOS

Ford driver Scott McLaughlin says the groundwork for his clean sweep of the opening round of the Supercars championship in Adelaide was laid in November last year.

“I don’t think we’ve made massive gains with the aerodynamics, but I feel like we’ve taken a massive step forward with the suspensions and all that other stuff,” McLaughlin told“I’m really excited for the rest of the year, because I feel like we’ve taken a big step forward underneath the skin of the car.

McLaughlin is acutely aware van Gisbergen left Adelaide with a perfect score in each of the last two seasons and wasn’t able to convert either into championship wins, acknowledging it’s only the beginning of a long campaign. While the South Australian track is very much of the “point and squirt” variety, Albert Park features more high speed, sweeping corners.

Could Formula E ever overtake Supercar racing in Adelaide?Formula E racing looks like Formula One but sounds very different, and organisers are hoping electric car racing will plug into a younger audience. They just need to put some 'vroom' into the silent sound. I do not care how. But us fans need more 'vroom' sound. Can the petrol heads take their tonka toys and piss off to the perfectly serviceable racetrack north of the city instead of ruining traffic, peace and in general, being a pain in the butt to the rest of us ffs The lnp ensured we don’t have a car industry to support any more. They don't even use unleaded ! The batteries are still hopeless - the races would last 10 minutes.

When your sperm donor becomes part of the family: one couple's IVF success storyIn Tasmania, sperm donors are so scarce IVF clinics get supplies from California — a same-sex couple on the waiting list decided to accept a gay friend's offer. Now, he is part of the family. You guys are sick ... seek medical help ASAP. It never ceases to amaze me how one can accept the statement '...has no rights...' to the child that would not have existed if it wasn't for him. If people want to do it, fine, but to me that's an unacceptable arrangement.
