'masculine obsession with heterosexuality and independence' stops reporting of abuse. Even when men are victims, it's also men's fault. You can't help yourselves can you, SMH?

Not just with sexual abuse. All abuse. It took me ages to break the stigma of ‘man up’ before I came forward with what happened to me, by then the ptsd had set in. Hiding it to be ‘manly’ is just another pathetic social excuse forced on gender.
