Man charged over fatal moped crash that killed two men

A Queensland man has been charged with callous disregard of an injured person as part of an investigation into a fatal traffic crash in Brisbane.

Police alleged two men were riding a moped along Caboolture River Road at Morayfield when they were struck by another vehicle at about 9pm on Friday.The male passenger, 32, who was seated behind the moped driver died at the scene.Detectives have charged a 38-year-old Palmwoods man with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, while affected by an intoxicating substance, and two counts of callous disregard for an injured person.
