Homicide detectives have arrested a man over the stabbing death of another man on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne's south-east last night.He died on the way to hospital from his injuriesEmergency services were called to a home on Salmon Street in Hastings about 7:45pm after reports a man had been stabbed"with an unknown object", Victoria Police said in a statement.
"The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was taken to hospital but died en route," the statement said.Forensic investigators, detectives and uniformed officers were at the cordoned-off crime scene late last night. A woman was also seen speaking to police at the scene before leaving with officers in the passenger seat of a police car.
