A man will face court after a woman was filmed in the toilets of an Oxford Street bar on the weekend

.

The woman was in a toilet cubicle in the bar near Liverpool Street about 1am on Saturday when she noticed a mobile phone show up under the dividing wall that appeared to be recording. The woman told police she yelled out and banged on the wall before she peered over and saw a man she did not know holding a mobile phone.Officers from the Surry Hills Local Area Command arrived shortly after and searched the man, finding cannabis and a mobile phone.

The French national was arrested and taken to Surry Hills police station, where he was charged with drug possession and intentionally recording an intimate image without consent. Refused bail, he appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday where he was granted conditional bail to re-appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday.
