The 46-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy died after the gum tree struck their car on Monbulk Road in Sherbrooke just after 5.30pm yesterday.The man and the boy both died at the scene. The State Emergency Service worked into the night to clear the road, which has since reopened to traffic.
“My gut feeling from being at the scene is they wouldn’t have known what happened, it’s just devastating,” SES Unit Controller Ben Owen told 9News.
