Scott Morrison and Bill Shorten have been forced to deny their climate policies will cost the economy and cut jobs for Australians. Mr Shorten spent day eight of the campaign touring the Top End with more health promises, but the climate clash continues to dominate his time on the road.
The Opposition has proposed a target to cut emissions by 45 per cent by 2030 on 2005 levels, compared to the Coalition's more modest 26 per cent reduction.
