The suicide of her son's friend kicked off a chain of events that eventually robbed Donna Anderson of her two boys, but the deaths also helped spark a major change for the better.

"Prior to the [deaths], accessing crisis care or support for mental health was very challenging," Ms Anderson said.

"It would take multiple calls to various providers to receive support. Many times, it could take weeks to receive an appointment before help could be available." A spate of youth suicides can rock a close-knit community and this type of tragic tale is not unique to Mandurah or the Peel region, with similar stories emerging across the country.

But while the pace of change is often frustratingly slow in the wake of such tragedy, the response in the Peel region was relatively swift.Following the deaths, the community rallied together to push for a rethink of how services in the region were delivered. It resulted in the $9 million Peel Health Hub , which houses nine services under the same roof including GPs, counselling and employment training programs.GP Down South spokeswoman Eleanor Britton, who was the driving force behind the PHH, said the system was previously fragmented and extremely difficult for young people to navigate.

They must have been overwhelmed by all the white male privilege feminists keep talking about.... PatriarchyDoesntExist

I find it interesting that folks believe that evidence based academia is the solution to suicide. It is not. What is needed is simple campfire conversations that reveal the inner soul of the individual through honoring and trusting and showing empathy.

And yet the Marxists at support feminism.

'I want Melania to mean something', is FLOTUS speaking through clothes?'There are no coincidences' when it comes to Melania's choices It wouldn’t be surprising if she’s running a sweatshop & the children who were kidnapped & being held in cages are making this hideous puff piece‼️🙄 Melania is NOT newsworthy. She's an ideal immigrant & an ex porn model. Has the personality & intellect of a dead toad & is married to a criminal. After almost 30 years, she still barely speaks English. Why waste column space? She 'doesn't really care, (so why) do you?'

There's a way to stop solar power overwhelming the grid — but it comes at a costThe body that runs WA's main electricity market wants the ability to remotely dump excess solar power from households to help avoid rolling power cuts. Headline should read something like “Government slow to encourage adoption of batteries to deal with solar excess” Electricity generation systems are always about $billions. The public are buying electric cars, now they are available. This will make a lot of battery available for grid balancing at minimal cost to the utilities. They just have to organise for it. No mention of 'batteries'!
