More than 200 flight passengers and crew are waiting on test results to see if the latest outbreak of COVID-19 has spread into Victoria.

QF 778 left Perth for Melbourne on Wednesday, carrying a Victorian man who has since tested positive to COVID-19. Victoria's testing commander, Jeroen Weimar, said everyone on board has been tested and is isolating for fourteen days."We'll continue to work with them to get negative results over the next few days."

The positive Victorian man is in hotel quarantine while his four close contacts are also isolating for a fortnight and have returned initial negative results. Victoria's exposure sites remain limited to the flight, and Melbourne airport terminal one between seven and seven thirty on Wednesday night.
