Victoria's Acting Premier James Merlino and CHO Brett Sutton outline eased Melbourne restrictions

Acting Premier James Merlino has confirmed Melburnians will be able to gather outdoors in groups of up to 10 when the city's lockdown ends at 11:59pm Thursday.

But visitors to the home will remain banned, and Melburnians must stick to a 25-kilometre radius of their homes unless they are travelling for essential work, education, caregiving or vaccination. Masks will no longer be required outdoors if a 1.5 metre distance can be maintained, but are mandatory indoors.

Andrew Bolt: Two examples of ‘health fascism’ by ‘cowardly politicians’ | Sky News AustraliaCoronavirus has 'not killed a single Australian this year - not through community transmission - but it has sure killed perspective,' according to Sky News host Andrew Bolt.\n\n“Two examples of our new health fascism,” he said.\n\n“Example one is from Queensland, a couple flew in fully vaccinated from the Middle East, repeatedly testing negative in quarantine, had their baby son born prematurely last week while they were still in quarantine.\n\n“To this day they have not seen their baby, aren’t allowed to see him in hospital.”\n\nMr Bolt said the chances of the couple being infectious are “so low you could hardly measure it”.\n\n“The sheer hypocrisy, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk could yesterday tweet that she just got the Pfizer vaccine so she could travel to Tokyo for the Olympics, but two parents who got the vaccine can’t even visit their own baby in a hospital in Brisbane,” he said.\n\n“We saw the same abrogation of responsibility in Victoria.”\n\nThe Victorian government recently rejected a request for an exemption on numbers for the funeral of an 8-year-old boy who drowned at a school camp.\n\n“Again the health risk was so small you couldn’t calculate it,” Mr Bolt said.\n\n“But here too, again cowardice, no judgement, no compassion; just the rules.\n\n“This virus has not killed a single Australian this year, not through community transmission, but perspective – it sure killed that.”\n\n “This virus has not killed a single Australian this year..' Someone is doing things correctly then. Asked Morrison to open his locked down borders yet? Fuck me, Andrew Bolt, talking on Sky Entertainment about perspective; a millionaire, doing the bidding of a billionaire. Reminds me of the celebate priests at school talking about sex and marriage, Bolt needs to get out and meet people. Who gives a fk what Bolt says ...he’s one of the most despised men in Australia !!

More tax to kill the ppl Should be a new tax on the 2million public sector workers in Australia to fund recovery instead of the private sector carrying the burden, at $1000 each pa would raise $2,000million recurrently ? Well done , overdue however at least putting into action, sometime the Fed govt may catch on
