Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech says 'not everyone will be able to access gigabit speed' as the government nears completion of its contentious $51 billion NBN scheme.

Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech says "not everyone will be able to access gigabit speed" as the government nears completion of its contentious $51 billion NBN scheme. "Australia ranks well down the list compared to other countries who have way more gigabit speed access than we do," he said.

"It's up to the NBN now the initial rollout has been completed to come up with a plan to improve parts of the network, to offer higher speed to customers that need them. "Less than 28 per cent of people can access those speeds." Meanwhile, Amazon has launched a Fulfilment Centre in Western Sydney, expected to create 2,000 jobs for the region. "This Fulfilment Centre will include some of their cutting edge robotics technology," Mr Fenech said.

The coalition's fraudband has ended up costing more than the FTTP Labor would have rolled out. It seems the coalition loves 19th century technology.

Australia faring better on COVID-19 than around the world | Sky News AustraliaDespite the COVID-19 focus being on America and the politics surrounding President Trump, Europe has in fact fared much worse than the US and Australia says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\n“There's a huge focus on the US, which has the highest total death toll in the world, more than 130,000 people, and where the outlook is bleak,” Mr Kenny said. \n\nLooking at the data surrounding death rates in differing countries and Australia’s situation, he said “if we had Canada's death rate we would have more than 5500 deaths already”. \n\n“If we'd matched the disaster of the US we'd have almost double that, almost 10,000 deaths by far”. \n\nMr Kenny said if we compared to the UK, Australia would have lost more than 16,000 people and over 21,000 compared to Belgium. \n\nImage: AP realDonaldTrump So what you fu-King sociopaths! realDonaldTrump “Europe has in fact fared much worse than the US and Australia.” This sentence makes no sense. There is no energy scarcity with nuclear it is ‘functionally infinite’ | Sky News AustraliaFormer climate activist Michael Shellenberger says the people who preach climate change as the end of the world are against the “most important solutions” to it.\n\nThe life-long environmentalist has given Sky News host Chris Kenny a lengthy interview about his decision to speak out against the alarmist rhetoric and how activists are threatened by nuclear power.\n\nHe said the each country’s energy transition naturally ends with uranium, which is an important factor in why countries like France and the UK have been able to reduce carbon emissions.\n\n“Everyone should move a little quicker along that like,” Mr Shellenberger said.\n\n“Why, if you think climate change is the end of the world, are you against all of the most important solutions to do it”.\n\n'Which is basically moving from coal to natural gas, which is what Australia is doing, or moving from coal and natural gas to nuclear”.\n\nMr Shellenberger said climate activists are gravely threatened by nuclear because it provides the globe with the ability to never “run out of anything”.\n\n“You have infinite energy, infinite water, infinite fertiliser, infinite food; there is no energy scarcity with nuclear its functionally infinite”.\n\n“If you’re somebody who wants to take over big sectors of the economy by being alarmist about climate change, nuclear is a problem for you”.\n\nHe said there is room within the climate debate for a centre-Right environmental movement which would understand that “climate change is not the most important environmental issue”.\n\n“By having a more moderate position on climate change I think it would be harder the radical left to demonize people on the right as deniers.”\n AStrongerOZ ShellenbergerMD This guy is as high they come in the climate change game. President Trump announces a 'historic surge in jobs' across the United States | Sky News AustraliaPresident Trump has announced “historic numbers” concerning unemployment figures after the American economy gained 4.8 million jobs in June, exceeding forecasts and raising hopes for a sharper than anticipated recovery.\n\nThe United States jobless rate has been brought down to 11.1 per cent and new unemployment claims decreased slightly from May to June with $1.4 million claims recorded in the past month.\n\nMr Trump said jobs in hospitality, retail, education, health and manufacturing had experienced a marked increase in June.\n\n“Manufacturing looks like it is ready to really take off at a level it has never been before and a lot of that has to do with our trade policy,' he said. \n\nHe pointed to “historic gains” in the African-American community with a record 404,000 jobs added in the past month amounting to 700,000 jobs created in the past two months. \n\nMr Trump also announced unemployment figures for individuals without a high school diploma had dropped by 3.3 per cent, “the largest drop in recorded history”.\n\nDespite fears a significant increase in COVID-19 cases across the state could hinder a rapid return to normality, the president pushed the topic of economic recovery, reporting the re-opening of 80 per cent of small businesses and the doubling of new business applications since late March. \n\nImage: AP Absolutely incredibly incorrect. Just watch. That optimism is probably short lived. That data is based on recent historical data. Current data indicates its already going backwards again, especially credit card usage.
