Teachers and students have identified 'remarkable' similarities between some questions asked in an HSC English exam and trial tests sat earlier this year in hundreds of schools | natassiazc

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-timeIt featured similar themes to the CSSA trial, which asked: "How do the distinctive qualities of Mark Haddon's novel communicate his commentary on the relationship between acceptance and rejection?"

"You would hope that the two papers are sufficiently different," Ms Gold said. "But we have all ‘tipped’ a paper or two in our time and so that similarity is certainly possible, especially when both have stuck closely to the module and its language." "HSC written exam papers are developed months in advance of exams, by an independent exam committee made up of a team of trained, expert teachers and academics," she said.

natassiazc That’s the least BOSTES could do for these poor kids .

natassiazc In economics they ask the same questions every year and change the answers.

natassiazc They're going to pass this lot and then it will be impossible to graduate. They want to destroy education.

natassiazc Terrible headline guys, surely you could have worked horrible Dan Andrews into this, or maybe that loveable, unlucky in love, koalakiller Gladys

natassiazc Feeling sorry for the students? It been so “hard for them”, this year. What a joke! The best year, ever, “for schooling”.

natassiazc Teaching to the test. It’s not new. It’s done when an incompetent education system wants to cook the books. They make sure the exam results look good, and thus the educational system looks good. Look what a great job we did! It’s cooking the books.

The surprising new friends who got me through the pandemicHistory celebrates the brave wins and noble losses of men, but rarely pays mind to the sometimes quieter, intelligent determination of women; women who were fighting courageously for their survival at the same time, in different ways | JamilaRizvi JamilaRizvi People like Zelda D'Aprano. whose new biography by Professor Marilyn Lake has been published today. JamilaRizvi The red meat that sells to women. The constant fodder they feed on to get them through their days, that wallow in victimhood and inferiority complex they crave, enables them to hiss together and weirdly feel like it’s of some value.
