.BillsonBruce on Nicolle Flint calling out personal attacks during election campaign: Sadly, it’s what contemporary campaigning looks like if you’re on the centre-right … It’s got to stop, it is corrosive to the democratic process. MORE: FridayShow

Liberal MP Nicolle Flint says the left preaches support of more women in politics, and ‘stamping out sexism’, yet some of their most ‘vicious attacks’ during the election were against Liberal women.

Speaking to Sky News, Ms Flint says she wants Australian MPs from all levels of government to be safe and be able to speak with their local community. The Member for Boothby says if the behaviour of GetUp!, unions and Labor as seen in recent elections does not change, people will lose access to their local representatives, which is ‘bad for democracy’.

What utter rubbish. It needs people with integrity to do the job right. Maybe they could at least do some audits.
