Adani CEO Lucas Dow says an administrative error is responsible for the Queensland government’s prosecution of Adani for allegedly providing false information over land clearing.

Speaking to Sky News, Mr Dow says the error was self-identified and reported in September last year, and that the work undertaken complied with their authorities and conditions. Mr Dow says from their perspective, they thought the matter was closed but as the ultimate regulator, the Queensland government ‘obviously thinks otherwise’. The Queensland Environment Department says the matter is listed for mention at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 16.

Adani demanded names of scientists reviewing groundwater plansDocuments obtained under Freedom of Information laws show mining company, Adani, insisted on knowing the names of government scientists reviewing its contentious groundwater plans, so it could check if they were 'anti-coal'. Probably to ensure they were scientists; not activists ADARNI must buy any water they use from alternative sources and not from the pristine waters in Queensland Aquifers. Making it harder to Polute Australians water? How dare we🙄 It is normal practice to review a scientist's body of published work when considering their findings in relation to your own technical activities.
