Two state governments from opposing sides of politics team up to accuse the Federal Government of short-changing people with a disability.

Two state governments from opposing sides of politics have teamed up to accuse the Federal Government of short-changing people with a disability.NSW and Victoria are demanding the Federal Government release money to help people with a disabilityThe Federal Government dismissed suggestions it withheld funding from people with disabilities as"ridiculous"

The state ministers have penned a letter to the federal minister responsible for the NDIS, Stuart Robert, saying they had been trying to work collaboratively to access the funds. But Mr Ward said there were significant barriers for people outside of affluent areas in NSW to access NDIS assistance."Particularly in regional areas, Aboriginal people and people with disabilities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds haven't been on the same level playing field as everybody.

The states and the Commonwealth have agreed to establish a NDIS reserve fund, but documents from the last COAG disability reform council meeting show discussions around how the fund will operate are still taking place.

NSW Nationals will cross the floor to stop 'green ideology': Barilaro | Sky News AustraliaThe condition of the state Coalition could be under threat if ministers and government bureaucracies keep pushing 'green ideology', according to NSW Deputy Premier and Nationals leader John Barilaro.\n\nMr Barilaro's stark warning comes as Environment Minister Matt Kean announced he will launch a consultation period into noise and air pollution that is caused by freight trains in regional New South Wales.\n\nMr Kean said the National Party had been aware of the government's policy towards freight trains but only raised their objections at the last minute.\n\nMr Barilaro rejected this, telling Sky News the formal Coalition between the Nationals and the Liberals could be under threat if ministers keep persisting with 'dumb policy'.\n\n'We are the voice of rural and regional NSW,' he said.\n\n'My job as the leader of the Nationals is to fight for our regions ... I'm not going to allow other ministers to push forward green ideology that attacks my base, attacks my communities and attacks the regions.\n\n'Therefore, yes, it does put stress on the Coalition agreement, and therefore we will fight for what is right regardless if it means crossing the floor on any issue with the Liberal party.'\n\nImage: News Corp Australia \n\n JohnBarilaroMP Does that mean that Labor, in opposition, is going to vote against environmentalism? Underpayment crackdown marks important shiftIt would have been unthinkable even a few years ago for a Coalition government to talk about introducing laws that make wage theft a crime. But it is a reflection of how brazen and widespread worker underpayment has become | OPINION Sadly, people do not know their entitlements. I told a colleague she was being underpaid compared to my wage. She was repaid $25k and remodeled her kitchen. It's a reflection of how corrupt a society we've become. When corruption is rampant amongst politicians, you expect it to flow on down. Superannuation is 'deferred pay' - over the last decade over $100 BILLION was stolen from Australian workers and handed over to the shareholders of AMP and the Big Banks. A national scandal of the highest order. Massive cover-up by ASIC and APRA.
