A Sydney police officer set upon by a knife-wielding man on ice has told a court he’s been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the attack.

Reading his victim impact statement at Matthews’ sentence hearing at Parramatta District Court today, Collis, 44, said he now lives in “fear of the incident reoccurring”, is haunted by “thoughts of the attack” and suffers from “anxiety”.He said only now, one year on, has he started wearing the uniform again.
