Labor's Deputy Senate leader Kristina Keneally infuriates the Government and annoys some of her ALP colleagues by breaking a bipartisan agreement on terrorism legislation.

"We successfully amended the Police Powers at Airports Bill to include a PJCIS review of the legislation & sunset clauses as safeguards," her tweet said. The Government is furious at Labor's Senate antics and some of Senator Keneally's Labor colleagues are similarly unimpressed.

Senator Keneally told the ABC that Labor had decided during debate on the bill to"test" the will of the Senate. "Given the Government did not vote to oppose Centre Alliance's first amendment to hold a review of the bill, Labor decided to test the will of the Senate on a sunset. Labor supported the Government's Police Powers bill and it passed the Senate."

Well done Senator_Patrick as well. ALP members upset with KKeneally might want to explain why, in a joint press conference with LNP.

I’m quite sure Saint Kristina has simply been misgendered

Keneally alone makes a good case for abolition of the senate , the sooner the better.

The Liberals’ best weapon for the next election: An American.

bsadams25 why the fuck are ALP making deals with the fascist govt in the first place?

auspol ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP DougCameron51 PeterDutton_MP KKeneally Good on Kristina! As for Peter Dutton MP he should receive an official sanction from parliament for his clearly racist, biggotted comment as follows: ' Kristina Keneally, honestly is off the reservation.'

The entire framing and language of this article is very odd. 'Boasting, annoyed, furious, unimpressed, took to task'.

What a load of wank. So labor and liberals are playing footsies under the table to take away our rights.

Self entitled idiot who is only interested in furthering the cause of religious extremism in our country & putting decent citizens at risk! A dangerous left wing globalist. Already 'tweeters' here thinking she is smart. Best you move to the Middle East & live with extremism!

Anybody who angers this government can't be all bad

Stiff shit dutton. Loser

Is her brain wired wrongly ?

Good on her 👏👏👏

More than 370,000 sign e-petition for climate emergency declarationA parliamentary e-petition calling on the government to make a climate emergency declaration has attracted a record number of signatories - three times more than the previous record-holder, which called for the removal of GST on menstrual products. Let's see. 370,000 out of a population of 25,000,000. We'll assume that those that voted are politically motivated. Renders the figure insignificant. Bots at work I see. All of these petitions are crap because anyone can sign from any country & if you have multiple email accounts you can sign a number of times.

More than 370,000 sign e-petition for climate emergency declarationThe biggest e-petition in Parliament's history has been submitted, calling for legislation to reduce the causes of anthropogenic climate change. e-petitions submitted by people with multilabel email accounts=fraud, my question how naïve is the age or is it complicit in spreading manipulated information? I do find it rather amusing there’s a hot air ballon in the background .... surely there’s enough hot air outside parliament that you wouldn’t need the gas flame to use said balloon....
